Our Town Coshocton Receives Grant

Our Town Coshocton was notified recently it was awarded a $25,000 grand from the Coshocton Foundation to assist the organization in its efforts to revitalize Coshocton’s historic downtown. Our Town Coshocton formed on February 9th, 2011 and has been working to put in place a comprehensive plan to improve the downtown district. Poggemyer Design Group was retained by the group to develop a downtown revitalization plan that was completed earlier this year. Over the past 4 years OTC has planned and operated events such as First Fridays, Cruizin Car Shows, Miracle on Main Street Parade, Ice Carving Festival and Denim & Diamonds. Our Town Coshocton is now ready to move on to the next level and develop a program that will secure additional funding sources to assist Coshocton and the downtown building/business owners in revitalizing our downtown. OTC is following the Main Street Approach to Downtown Revitalization using the model created by the National Trust For Historic Preservation 35 years ago and used successfully by over 2,000 communities across America to reverse the deterioration of their downtown shopping districts. Our Town Coshocton thanks the Coshocton Foundation for their support of our efforts to restore and revitalize downtown Coshocton. If you would like additional information about Our Town Coshocton or to become involved in helping us revitalize downtown Coshocton please contact us at www.ourtowncoshocton.com or (440) 666-2652. Volunteers are always needed, no amount of time or energy is too small. There are many ways for you or your business to be involved.
